Dear Ben, Micha, Donna, Renee, and ALL Oasis at Dodge Park
Caregivers,
When a loved one develops dementia, you “lose” them twice. Once
from the processes related to memory loss, and again when they
pass away. My family is grieving the loss of our beloved Cathy.
However, we are so fortunate that she was able to spend the last 14
months of her life living at Oasis at Dodge Park. The compassion and
attention to detail that was provided to Cathy, my family and our
friends was extraordinary. Everyone from management to nurses to
caregivers to dietary staff to housekeeping showed respect,
compassion and caring. I fully appreciate how difficult it is to
provide this kind of care on a daily basis.
On many occasions, someone in leadership would say “thank you
for trusting us to care for Cathy”. Yes, we had tremendous trust that
was never violated.
