I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional, loving care you provided to my parents, over the past two and a half years.
Even though both of them suffered from dementia, their needs were dramatically different. Your approach of treating each resident as an individual was essential to their comfort, health, and happiness. I am so grateful for how the team gently redirected my dad when he thought it was time to "go home" or leave with my mom. Your staff always kept a watchful eye on him as he walked around the building, especially since he often forgot his walker.
Similarly, your team was incredibly gentle with my mother as she became fragile. You helped her feel safe and secure whenever she was anxious, especially in the middle of the night. The regular hugs and hand-holding she received gave her great comfort, and her fear and anxiety dropped dramatically under the care of the Oasis Team.
During my many visits, I never once saw a staff member display anger, dismissiveness, or indifference toward any resident in distress. Instead, I witnessed a consistent environment of kindness, love, and gentleness. I especially appreciated how you went above and beyond to help me secure a placement for my dad at a rehabilitation center after his hip fracture when I was struggling to find one myself. This truly demonstrated an exceptional level of support for both your residents and their families.
After four years of stress and anxiety while caregiving on my own, I knew instantly upon visiting that Oasis was the perfect place for my parents to spend their remaining days together. For two and a half years, I never had to worry because I knew they were receiving excellent care. Furthermore, being able to transition them to hospice care within the comfort of the rooms they had lived in for so long brought me great peace of mind.
